The streets of Copenhagen

Bikes. Endless amounts of bikes everywhere. I will honestly tell you that bikes outnumber cars 3 to 1 here no joke! The locals believe it makes more sense to ride instead of drive or even take the "Metro" (train) to get around the city plus its expensive to own a car,plus with traffic and trying to find a place to park it's too much of a hassle. You should see rush hour or late in the evening the bikes own the night.From fixies,3 speed,utility bikes,step thru's,baskets bikes,old rust buckets,fancy road bikes,it doesn't matter if has two wheels people are riding them.For me seeing this is like the ultimate dream sharing the road with bikes here is not a hassle but just a normal thing to do.From mothers carrying three and shopping at the local grocery store,to the famous Christiania utility bikes selling food,soup,coffee,etc. the bike is cool here!With bike shops on every block and i do mean every block you have no problem picking up one or getting yours fixed. I haven even seen a school bus yet! Kids as young as say 7 are helmet ready with backpack chatting with their friends to and from school.Why can't it be like this back home! In time i guess! Oh if you're wondering what those numbers stand for,well the red numbers stand for the number of bikes that crossed the bridge that day and the blue is for the year. That's right 9000 plus!
